Short Doc: Life with Dogs

In collaboration with Nextraveler films, we've worked with Visionary Arts vocational school for their short documentary series. Following the story of students in each of their unique programs, it was crucial that the music helped support the depth behind each of their stories.

What sets Visionary Arts apart from other vocational schools found in the busy city of Shibuya is the unlikely pairing of subjects they teach; the school focuses on the fields of food and dogs. Our goal was to create music as unique as the programs offered on their campus.

Though all of the promotional videos focused on a select number of students personal experiences, it was important that the music reflected the progressive and unique identity of the school.

Our team focused on utilizing modern genres and pop sensibilities to add a sense of youth and energy to the short documentaries, using live instrumentation where necessary.

To further add depth to the stories of each student, original lyrics were drafted for each and written with the life and story of each student in mind.
